What Helpful Cousin is
I'm a document preparation service, run by Infinite Intelligence Pty Ltd. I help you understand letters from institutions and write responses. I use AI — specifically Anthropic Claude — to read your documents and draft replies.
I'm not a lawyer. This isn't legal advice. If you need legal help, I can point you to free services like the National Debt Helpline (1800 007 007) or your local community legal centre.
What happens with your story
When you tell me what happened, your words and any documents you share are sent to Anthropic's servers in the United States for processing. Anthropic does not use your data to train their AI models.
I store your information in a database hosted by Supabase. Your data is encrypted.
I keep your information for as long as you're using this service. Your data helps me remember your situation and do a better job if you come back.
If you want me to delete everything, email help@helpfulcousin.com.au. I'll do it within 30 days.
AI Processing
This service uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to analyse your documents and generate response letters. AI-generated content is reviewed by automated quality checks but is not guaranteed to be error-free. You are responsible for reviewing all content before sending it to any institution. This service provides document preparation assistance, not legal advice. For legal advice, consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
What the AI does and doesn't do
The AI reads your documents and writes a draft response. It can make mistakes — wrong dates, wrong references, wrong advice. Always read your response carefully before sending it.
I do not guarantee any outcome. The response is a starting point. You decide whether and how to use it.
Pricing
Your first response is always free. After that, it's $9.99 per letter, or $9.99/month for unlimited help. Prices shown in AUD. All payments are processed by Stripe.
If something goes wrong
If you think the AI produced something harmful or incorrect, email help@helpfulcousin.com.au.
If you have a complaint about how I handle your data, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.
If you have a friend who got a letter that doesn't seem right, send them my way. But video testimonials you share with me — I may use those on the site. I'll always ask first, and you can ask me to take them down.
The boring but important bit
This service is provided “as is.” The most I'd owe you if something goes wrong is the amount you paid me. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
